Healthcare Assistants - Slough, Berkshire - Ongoing work available

Network Health and Social Care are currently recruiting for a well known client based in Slough for Healthcare Assistants to work with elderly service users in a residential setting. These roles offer competitive rates and enhancements on rates for weekends. Please note as these positions require shift working and the following shift patterns will apply although we will take into consideration your availability and offer hours relevant to your availability. Please note this is a zero hour contract however we will work hard to ensure you are given hours to suit your availability.

07.00-11.00 (4 hours)
07.00-15.00 (7.5 hours with 30 minute unpaid break)
15.00-23.00 (7.5 hours with a 30 minute unpaid break)
17.00-21.00 (4 hours)

Duties include but are not limited to:
Supporting service users to meet their needs in a range of settings including; supported living, supported housing, residential care, extra-care and day services

Supporting service users with day to day living such as personal care, preparing meals, administering medication, engaging in conversation and ensuring the client has choice over day to day decision. This client is a non profit organisation which develops and manages high quality housing to provide supported accommodation.

To apply for this role you will need;
A positive attitude to help the service users reach the outcomes they will like to achieve
Experience in a care setting working with elderly residents
To be able to commit to at least 20 hours per week on day shifts (no nights available)
A good knowledge of safeguarding
Be prepared to undertake medication training and administer medication independently
A good knowledge of moving and handling procedures
Be prepared to undertake training as and when required
Be able to offer some flexibility with regards to working hours
